One More Time

I’m tired. Weary actually. It has been a long week. One very long week since the exciting start of my website and blog.

What has happened? Well, a lot of silly things that have put me on various ends of the devastated to exhilarated spectrum.

The result has left me slightly drained with no creative energy to write this weekend.

It reminded me (as did my dad and my foot since that is where it is tattoed) of the phrase I love: One More Time.

It is a rallying phrase meaning essentially don’t give up. One More Time means a lot to me because sometimes people give up right before they arrive at something great. Other times giving it one more time is all you can do.

This has certainly not been the worst week of my life, but just another reminder that the phrase is true.

One More Time is also about resetting your mind to focus on the next challenge.
Realizing: Yeah, I’m strong enough to do this!
And even when you think you can’t, just do it One More Time.
And then One More Time after that.

Life never goes the way we plan.

A lesson I have been learning for a few months, but that just gives me the opportunity to face the challenges and be victorious.

To reset my focus and get it done One More Time.

It isn’t easy. Sometimes it is hard to keep going and often even painful. I find that at times my spirit is too weary to continue fighting.

But it is a mindset. To choose the path that will lead to perseverance is the struggle worth fighting for daily. And when the fighting is done I must find time for rest and renewal.

I battle a few things every day. Sometimes its easy, other times more difficult.
But I persevere because in those moments I’m reminded to give it:

One More Time.

  3. I am loving The Adventure Shop! Fiction and fantasy is such a diverse genre, but many times, stories seem to follow similar paths. It can be difficult to find and to write something truly unique, but that is precisely what you have created with The Adventure Shop! Your characters are so relatable, and there are so many great details and descriptions woven throughout each post. I haven’t decided yet which character is my favorite, but once I do, they will certainly hold a spot tied with Greeney ☺️ I can’t wait for your next post!

  5. I admire your willing vulnerability and how you have place fear into the open, showing it to be a sad little creature that can only torment when unacknowledged.
    I have not overcome fear of creating in a while, might be time to start seeing as I have a role model.

  15. I think putting yourself out there is one of the most terrifying things you can do, but it can be so rewarding! So I try to not think of the negative “what if’s” but rather the positive ones, you’ve got this!
