I am Home

I feel the waves dancing across my feet

I walk deeper and breathe in the salty air

The water welcomes me as its daughter

And I am home

I dive in and feel the rush of cool water against my skin

My legs transform into my beautiful tail

How can I describe how the water completes me

A piece of me always feels like its missing when I am not home

I spin and twirl as the water rushes over me

 I swim deeper out going through the reef

Colors light up the ocean as I’m met with its other inhabitants

The wild welcomes me and I am free once again to truly be myself

I explore the cave that holds hidden gems and treasures long forgotten

There is a danger within my home

A beauty

It is wild

Unpredictable

An ordered chaos and I would have it no other way

There is so much of my home to explore

I’m never bored

My curiosity is always growing 

As I learn new places in which to adventure

Here there is always more to learn

When the night comes the magic of my world continues

The way the moon shines off the water

Magically pulling the waves

Commanding their flow

The moon pulls me in the same way

It has the most magical effect on me 

As I feel I am one with the moon and the sea

When I am not in my home

The water calls me like I am lost

And in truth I am

I am lost

Chaotic 

Beneath the calm surface I present

And as the with the waves

I can be strong and unyielding

Yet would gently guide a lost soul to a safe harbor

Unpredictable and chaotic

Beautiful and dangerous

Wild

Mysterious 

Free

I can hear its calling

Can you hear it

It calls to me now

And I can not say no

Also I do not want to

So as I enter the waves

I am enveloped in the ocean’s embrace

Finally complete with no more longing 

I am Home

  3. I am loving The Adventure Shop! Fiction and fantasy is such a diverse genre, but many times, stories seem to follow similar paths. It can be difficult to find and to write something truly unique, but that is precisely what you have created with The Adventure Shop! Your characters are so relatable, and there are so many great details and descriptions woven throughout each post. I haven’t decided yet which character is my favorite, but once I do, they will certainly hold a spot tied with Greeney ☺️ I can’t wait for your next post!

  5. I admire your willing vulnerability and how you have place fear into the open, showing it to be a sad little creature that can only torment when unacknowledged.
    I have not overcome fear of creating in a while, might be time to start seeing as I have a role model.

  15. I think putting yourself out there is one of the most terrifying things you can do, but it can be so rewarding! So I try to not think of the negative “what if’s” but rather the positive ones, you’ve got this!
